What is Risk Based Authentication (RBA)?

RBA and Customer Whitelist Requests

Shows each device logging into a User account and the associated risk based authentication (RBA) score associated with that device. Devices are identified by the OS, browser type, location, IP address and split out into a table with a map of the login locations.

  • 0 - 59 a low-risk device that is allowed to login
  • 60 - 89 a suspicious device that will receive a challenge verification email
  • 90 - 100 device is denied with no challenge sent. These are typically bot nets, scripted environments, or other obvious attacker profiles.
  • Devices with a score between 0-89 can be flagged as approved
